This work situates itself on Regents Canal in London. A nine -mile journey from to east to west, the canal is a place of history and memory, and patterns and accidents, idiosyncrasies and contradictions. This work reveals a fragmented city and the transitory nature of the shifting urban landscapes of our everyday life; the scars and traces left behind from the social, cultural and industrial forces that have shaped London.

Debra Fabricius is an award winning published architect. Her photography has played an integral role in her practice for over a decade. Her work, which is represented in private Canadian collections, explores the notions of contemporary urban spaces and cultures. A flâneuse, she wanders, observes the world and contemplates temporality, memory and the everyday.
